The first round of the 2020 NHL Entry Draft has come to a conclusion. After a four-month delay due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the future stars of the NHL were finally selected.

The New York Rangers selected Alexis Lafreniere with the first overall pick. Lafreniere is a dynamic forward who is expected to make an immediate impact in the NHL. The Ottawa Senators selected Tim Stutzle with the third overall pick. Stutzle is a skilled centerman who has been compared to Patrick Kane.
